GLOBALIZATION AND EMERGING CHALLENGES TO ISLAM IN ASIA

Abstract

Globalization is posing challenges in almost all fields – economic, political, cultural and religious. Ideally speaking, every change brings its own challenges which we have to face either by (i) conserving what has been inherited, leading to increased orthodoxy, resulting in more conflict or (ii) creatively accommodating changes and synthesizing them with what is inherited.
