GNOSTICISM

Abstract

Many spiritual aspirants, scholars, and historians are intrigued by ancient Gnosticism. Plenty of books detailing its history and translating ancient Gnostic texts, such as the Nag Hammadi library, exist. This mysterious path is even portrayed in fictional novels and movies, illustrating its appeal to the public. Some individuals take this interest even further, and today we are witnessing a re-emergence of the practice of Gnosis. Modem Gnostics study the spiritual teachings of the four Gospels, the Book of Revelation, texts of the Nag Hammadi library, the Pistis Sophia, the Gospel of Mary, and the Gospel of Judas. The teachings of modem Gnosis have continued to evolve. For example, over the last century, Samael Aun Weor, Rabolu, and most recently Belzebuub have earned international recognition as Gnostic spiritual teachers. Their teachings have been published, translated, and distributed across the world.
