Abstract

The presents ituation is certainly marked by increasing interreligious encounter and discourse. However, it seems to be difficult to judge what actually happens is there real progress or just c onference-culture, doisolation is attendence is prevail?Yet, unless we achieve a clear analysis of the present social, political as we lt as intellectual conditions of interreligious encounter all our projections into the future are just wish ful thinking. Unless we have atleast a vague idea of theend and goal of the way it is difficult to say whether a certain way might be appropriate or not. Therefore, what is necessary more than any thing else is as ober and truthful analysis of the present state of interreligious affairs.
