Abstract

In this issue of the Journal we are focussing on 'faces of femininity' in the modem world. Some of the different faces of femininity and some of the issues and the tensions that exist among them, and among femininity, religion, and philosophy, are raised by the contributors to this issue. They put forward suggestions for reconceiving the faces of femininity, and try to explain the implications this might have for religion and philosophy.
